About Author

Dr. D. Akila Devi is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 18 years of teaching and research experience. She earned her B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. with first class and university ranks, including a Gold Medal, and completed her Ph.D. from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Tamil Nadu. She has held various academic positions, including Professor and Head, and has contributed significantly to pharmaceutical sciences through 58 research publications, 25 conference papers, 4 textbooks, and 3 book chapters. Dr. Akila Devi has guided 52 M.Pharm. students and 4 Ph.D. scholars, with 4 more currently under her supervision. She holds three design patents and two published utility patents in novel drug delivery systems. Her academic excellence has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Best Teacher Award, Faculty Excellence Awards, and Avishkar Awards. She is an active member of several professional bodies and contributes to institutional development as a PCI inspector, NAAC/NBA coordinator, BOS member, and Nodal Officer for research. Dr. Akila Devi exemplifies professionalism, innovation, and dedication to education and societal advancement. Kritika Modak is an Assistant Professor at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi, with a strong academic and industrial background. She completed her Master’s in Pharmaceutics from WBUT and previously worked as a Senior Executive in the Quality Department at Cipla. She has attended various national and international conferences and presented her research work. She has also published several articles in reputed journals. Mr. Milan Nandi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at RKDF University, Ranchi. He has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Florence College of Pharmacy, Ranchi, and has industry experience as a Senior Executive at Cipla, Sikkim. He completed his Master’s in Pharmaceutics and has published review articles in reputed journals. He has also attended and presented his work at various national and international conferences. Shashi Pratap Singh is working as an Assistant Professor at PSIT–Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (Pharmacy), Bhauti, Kanpur Nagar, U.P., with 7 years of teaching experience. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from NIMS University, Jaipur, and Rajasthan. He completed his B.Pharm and M.Pharm (Pharmacology) from PSIT, Bhauti, Kanpur. He is a life member of APTI and IPGA, with 25 publications, 3 patents, and 6 textbooks to his credit. He has also attended several national and international conferences, seminars, FDPs, workshops, and completed NPTEL and SWAYAM courses. Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Kumar Gupta is currently serving as Officiating Vice Chancellor and Dean, Career Point school of Pharmacy, Career Point University, Kota (Rajasthan), India, with more than 23 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (U.P.), M.Pharm from J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Ooty (T.N.), and B.Pharm from L.M. College of Science and Technology (Pharmacy), Jodhpur (Rajasthan).Prof. Gupta has supervised 18 Ph.D. and 55 M.Pharm scholars and is presently guiding 8 Ph.D. and 10 M.Pharm students in diverse areas of pharmaceutical sciences. He is the author of more than 30 books, including works on GPAT, Pharmacognosy, Pathophysiology, Pharmaceutical Biology, Organic Chemistry of Natural Products, Remedial Biology, Environmental Sciences, and Drug Inspector/Drug Controller Officer examinations. He has published over 150 research and review papers in national and international journals, along with more than 130 conference presentations, reflecting his strong research and academic engagement. Prof. Gupta has received several awards for his outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical education, research, and community service, and has also served as a judge at prestigious events such as the Smart India Hackathon 2019. He holds key academic and regulatory roles, including Chairman of the Institutional Ethics Committee and Animal Ethics Committee, Chairman of Board of Studies, member of the Academic Council at Oriental University, Indore, inspector for the Pharmacy Council of India and RUHS, life member of APTI, and reviewer for reputed journals. He has successfully completed three AICTE-sponsored projects and has convened and organized numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, entrepreneurial development programmes, and youth festivals supported by agencies such as AICTE, DST, and the Sasakawa-India Leprosy Foundation.
