About Author
Dr. Sachin S. Kadam is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with over 17 years of academic and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University and specializes in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Dr. Kadam has guided 24 postgraduate students and is a recognized Ph.D. guide. He has published several research papers, patents, and a book chapter, and has successfully secured funded research projects.
His research interests include synthesis and analysis of heterocyclic compounds. He is actively involved in teaching, research, and academic administration.
This textbook provides clear explanations of organic chemistry principles, reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, and functional group chemistry, with a focus on pharmaceutical applications, drug synthesis, and well-structured chapters supported by diagrams and reaction schemes.
Dr. Mangesh B. Hole is an expert in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis with over 15 years of experience in the field. Holding a highest degree, Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India.
He has worked extensively in specific areas like synthesis and evaluation of heterocyclic compounds and method development of various drugs. He has authored 46 research and review papers published in leading scientific journals. He has two Indian patents in his credit. He also completed two research projects as co-investigator under BCUD grant.
This book, reflects his commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications in pharmaceutical chemistry.
Mr. Abhijeet A. Sonawane is working as an Associate Professor at VJSM’s Vishal Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ale, Junnar, Pune, affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. He has 16 years of teaching experience, with strong expertise in Chemistry subjects.
He has actively participated in and presented research papers at national and international conferences. He has several research publications in reputed journals and has also received research grants to his credit. He has successfully guided many B. Pharm students and 15 M. Pharm students in their research work.
Additionally, he has served as the College Examination Officer for three years, contributing significantly to academic administration.
Dr. Trupti B. Shevante currently works as Associate Professor in Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at VJSM's Vishal Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ale, Pune Maharashtra.She has published a number of research publications in national and international publications,1 patent and 3 Books in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal and Social Pharmacy.
She is associated with Professional Organization and Life member of APTI. She has completed her Bachelors and Masters in Pharmacy from Pune University, Maharashtra. She has 18 years of Academic experience. She has attended many AICTE and MSBTE sponsored Workshops, National and International Seminar and Conferences.
Mrs. Monali S. Gadekar completed her B. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011 from VJSM’s Vishal Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ale, Pune, and qualified GPAT. She obtained her M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2013 from Pravara Rural College of Pharmacy, Loni, Ahilyanagar.
She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at VJSM’s Institute, Ale, Pune. She has 11 years of academic experience with several national and international research publications, has contributed to a Medicinal Chemistry book, and has attended various workshops and conferences.
