Dr. V. R. Ravikkumar, M.Pharm., Ph.D.* is a distinguished academician, researcher, and Professor & Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy at The Erode College of Pharmacy. With over 26 years of teaching, research, and academic administration experience, he has made significant contributions to the fields of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Herbal Drug Technology, and Natural Product Research. Dr. Ravikkumar obtained his B.Pharm and M.Pharm degrees from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from SASTRA University. His research interests include pharmacognostical, phytochemical, and pharmacological investigations, standardization of herbal drugs, and the formulation and development of novel therapeutic agents. An active researcher and mentor, he has published more than 67 research papers in national and international journals, authored and edited several books, contributed book chapters to international publications, guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and supervised doctoral research scholars. He also holds multiple national and international design patents and has served as a resource person at various scientific conferences and academic programs. Dr. Ravikkumar is a life member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Pharma Helpline Society, Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Society for Nature and Applied Sciences (SNAS), and the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA). His outstanding contributions to pharmacy education and research have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Best Teacher Award, Young Achiever Award, Excellent Academician Award, Outstanding Achievement Award, and Innovation in Science Award. Through his teaching, research, and publications, Dr. V. R. Ravikkumar continues to inspire students, researchers, and healthcare professionals while advancing the science of herbal medicines and pharmaceutical education.
Dr. M. Sangeetha is currently serving as Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy at Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Pharmacy, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She holds a M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy), M.B.A (Human Resources) and Ph.D. in Pharmacy and has over 25 years of experience in teaching, research and academic leadership.Her research focuses on natural product-based drug discovery, herbal therapeutics, nanomedicine and the development of innovative therapies for inflammatory and metabolic disorders. She has published more than 30 research articles in reputed national and international journals and has presented her work at numerous scientific conferences. In recognition of her innovative research contributions, one patent was granted and 5 patents published in areas related to pharmaceutical and herbal drug research. Dr. Sangeetha has successfully guided several undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral research scholars, fostering scientific inquiry and innovation among young researchers. She has also secured research funding for several projects and has received awards for her contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and academic excellence.A life member of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI) and a Registered Pharmacist with the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council, Dr. M. Sangeetha continues to contribute significantly to advancing natural product research and evidence-based healthcare through education, research and innovation.
Dr.P.Satheesh kumar currently holds the Position of Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, JKKMMRF’S Annai JKK Sampoorani Ammal College of Pharmacy, Komarapalayam, Nammakal District, Tamil Nadu. He earned his Ph.D (Pharmacy) from Sunrise University, Alwar, Rajasthan. After completing his B.Pharm from JKK Nattrajah College of Pharmacy, and M.Pharm from JKKMMRF’S Annai JKK Sampoorani Ammal College of Pharmacy, He has been Professor and academic researcher for 17 years. He has more than 35 research article that have been published in different national and international journals. Furthermore, he has provided guidance to more than 20 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate students. Apart from academic activities due to his keen interested in social services, He has been deeply engaged with activities like National Service Scheme.
Dr. R. Gowri, M.Pharm., Ph.D., is a seasoned pharmacy educator and researcher with over 21 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic administration. She currently serves as Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy at Faculty of Pharmacy, M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, where she has been instrumental in fostering excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.A graduate and postgraduate of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Dr. R. Gowri earned her doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore. Her expertise includes scientific exploration of medicinal plants, phytochemical characterization, natural product-based drug discovery, and the pharmacological evaluation of bioactive compounds.She is a member of APTI and a Life member of the Tamil Nadu State Pharmacy Council. She has presented several papers at International conferences and published several papers in national and International Journals. Through her academic leadership and sustained research endeavours, she continues to strengthen the quality of pharmaceutical education and foster a culture of scientific inquiry among future pharmacy professionals.
Dr. S. Sameemabegum is currently working as Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, Nandha College of Pharmacy and Research Institute, Erode, Tamil Nadu. She completed her undergraduate in Erode College of Pharmacy, Erode, Tamil Nadu. After that she finished master graduate (Pharmacognosy) from Madurai Medical College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Then she completed her Ph.D. with Patent grant from Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She has experience of 15 years in Academician in the field of Pharmacy. She has published several research papers in Scopus Journals and one patent granted by IPR. She participated in various conferences, faculty development programmes and as evaluator in various seminars. She is the lifetime member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association. She focuse the main area of research is phytochemistry and formulation development using herbals. She guided more than 50 undergraduate students in the field of formulation development. She inspires every student to plant and nurture atleast one medicinal sapling, fostering greener campus and an ecofriendly nature.
