About Book
The main aim of this book is to develop a clear and strong understanding of inorganic chemistry and analytical techniques among pharmacy students. It emphasizes their practical applications in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare. Moreover, the book connects theoretical concepts with real-world relevance, helping students understand the significance of chemical analysis and inorganic pharmaceuticals in drug development.
The content is systematically arranged into five well-defined units. The first unit introduces the basics of pharmaceutical analysis, including sources of impurities and regulatory requirements for quality control. It highlights the importance of maintaining drug purity, safety, and compliance with established pharmaceutical standards.
Subsequent sections explain acid–base chemistry, buffer systems, and electrolyte balance. These topics are discussed in relation to their physiological roles as well as their importance in pharmaceutical formulations and therapeutic use.
In addition, the book provides a detailed understanding of analytical methods such as titrimetric and gravimetric techniques. It covers acid–base, redox, precipitation, complexometric, and non-aqueous titrations with pharmaceutical applications.
Furthermore, the book integrates chemistry, medicine, and regulatory science to promote interdisciplinary learning. It also includes problem-solving exercises and application-based discussions to enhance critical thinking, analytical ability, and practical skills among students.
