About Book
This textbook systematically covers the entire Bachelor of Pharmacy pharmaceutics syllabus, starting from preformulation studies of drug substances and excipients, through the formulation and evaluation of tablets, capsules, powders, granules, liquid, semisolid, suppository, parenteral, aerosol, and controlled-release dosage forms, and further encompassing industrial aspects like stability testing, GMP, packaging, quality assurance, validation, sterilization, scale‐up techniques, and finally regulatory affairs and intellectual property.
Designed to serve both as a core academic resource and as a self‐study companion for competitive exams like GPAT, this book aims to build strong conceptual foundations while developing application‐oriented understanding among pharmacy students. Its objectives include helping learners grasp dosage‐form science, appreciate the principles of large‐scale pharmaceutical manufacturing, understand documentation and regulatory compliance, and acquire practical insight into the drug development process. Covering twenty carefully curated chapters exactly aligned with the new PCI syllabus, the book meets the growing need for a comprehensive, up-to-date, and exam-focused text in pharmaceutics. By combining clarity of explanation with industry relevance, it prepares students not only for university examinations but also for future roles in formulation development, production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
