About Book
In my first book many national and international faculty contributed many areas related to hypertension.The first topic was about the newer proteins contributed by Prof.Madhu Anand Srivastva from Canada.Many other chapters in the book have dealt with measurement of Blood Pressure,work up and treatment trends,Prof.Reid from Australia who was a member of Australian Blood Pressre Program (ANBP) had good interactions with young attendees..He wanted to have Indian High Blood Pressure program(INBP).In my second book
Perspectives in Hypertension,there are 25 chapters dealing several aspects of hypertension.Book covers chronomics ,renin angiotensive system,oxidative stress and hypertensive emergencies and urgencies.Book is used by faculty and students by global audience.
About Author
Dr.Vishambhar Nath Puri passed M B B S in 1969 from G S V M college Kanpur.He did his Internship and house job from K G M C Lucknow till April 1969.He joined CDRI Lucknow 1969 till 2004,and retired as Deupty Director Division of Pharmacology.
He went on DAAD schlorship in 1974-1975 Munich West Germany to learn micro puncture technique at physiology institute.He continued his work on Vasopressin in health and disease,Biometals and hypertension and published their findings in international and national journals 150 well sited publications.I am a member of Indian Pharmacological Society and Indian Society of Hypertension,and also the president.I am a fellow of Indian Society of Pharmacology.In addition I have worked as PDF at JHMHC Gainesville U S A 1986-1988 and worked on drug Manassantin.I have organized many conferences and grandrounds at CDRI which were great success.I have credit to organized 2 Conferences of ISH at CDRI and SHPGI Lucknow.My first book Hypertension Basics to Bed side was published by local publisher was very well received.My second book Perspectives in Hypertension was published by Allied Publishers 2007.I have been involved in providing better health care facilities in a village Fatehganj Lucknow.
