The topic also places a strong emphasis on regulatory, patenting, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) concerns for herbal medicines. Herbal remedies have long been utilized extensively in both developed and poor nations. They are also very well-liked for their effectiveness, safety, and lack of negative side effects. However, the efficacy and safety evidence do not meet the standards required to enable their usage globally. To summarizes the fundamental knowledge of herbal drug technology, regulatory and patenting issues, as well as current herbal excipients, etc., we have written this book.

Dr. Kapil Malviya currently holds the position of Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, Corporate Institute of Pharmacy, located in Patel Nagar, Raisen Road Bhopal (MP), India. He earned his undergraduate degree (B-Pharmacy) in 2005 at (Vidyabharti College of Pharmacy) Amravati (MS) affiliated with the Sant Gadge Baba University, Amravati (MS) and his postgraduate studies (M-Pharmacy), Pharmacognosy in 2008 at the J.L Chaturvedi College of Pharmacy, Nagpur (MS), affiliated with The Sant Tukdoji Maharaj University , Nagpur (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), Pharmacognosy in 2014 at the Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University, Jaipur (RJ).With over 16 years of experience in teaching and research, He has made significant contributions to the field. His scholarly work includes the publication of over 22 research articles and securing 01 international Patent. He has presented more than 15 Oral and Poster presentations in various Conferences. Furthermore, He has provided guidance to more than 60 undergraduate, 40 postgraduate students and 05 Ph.D students.
Dr. Trinayan Deka is presently working as Assistant Professor at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Assam down town University, Guwahati, Assam. He has overall 06 years of teaching, administrative, research experience. He has published 4 book chapters and 12 research and review papers in various National and International journals. His experience specializing in herbal medicine, drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, anticancer therapies, antimicrobial agents, and hepatoprotective substances. His work has significantly contributed to advancing these fields, focusing on innovative approaches to improve treatment efficacy and patient outcomes. Deka's interdisciplinary research and numerous publications have established him as a leading figure in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.
