About Book
In recent years, the scope and significance of physiotherapy have expanded remarkably, with growing recognition of its vital role in prevention, rehabilitation, and functional restoration across all age groups. As healthcare continues to evolve, the need for structured, evidence-informed assessment has become increasingly important. Accurate and systematic examination not only helps to identify functional limitations and underlying impairments but also guides individualized intervention planning, monitors patient progress, and supports optimal clinical outcomes.
This book has been prepared with the objective of presenting clear, organized, and clinically applicable assessment formats used across different physiotherapy departments. The content focuses on structured documentation and evaluation methods that assist clinicians in performing comprehensive and consistent patient assessments in various areas of physiotherapy practice.
The content provides detailed assessment sheets tailored to multiple physiotherapy specialities, including musculoskeletal, neurological, obstetrics and gynaecology, sports physiotherapy, community-based rehabilitation, and amputation assessment. Each format has been designed to reflect the specific clinical priorities, evaluation parameters, and documentation standards relevant to its respective field. These structured formats aim to promote systematic examination, accurate record-keeping, and holistic patient evaluation.
This book is intended to serve as both an academic companion and a practical clinical reference for undergraduate and postgraduate students, educators, and practising physiotherapists and clinicians. It is hoped that this work will contribute to professional growth, enhance examination proficiency, and support the delivery of structured, patient-centered, and evidence-informed physiotherapy care.
