Scope: This course is designed to impart basic knowledge on etiopathogenesis of
common diseases and their management along with quality use of medicines.
Course Objectives: This course will discuss about
1. Etiopathogenesis of selected common diseases and evidence-based
medicine therapy
2. Importance of individualized therapeutic plans based on diagnosis
3. Basic methods for assessing the clinical outcomes of drug therapy
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the students will be
able to
1. Help assessing the subjective and objective parameters of patients in
common disease conditions
2. Assist other healthcare providers to analyze drug related problems and
provide therapeutic interventions
3. Participate in planning the rational medicine therapy for common diseases
4. Design and deliver discharge counselling for patients.
About Author
Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav [M. Pharm, Pharmacology, Ph. D Pursuing] is Currently Asst. Prof. in Department of Pharmacology, Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (Pharmacy), Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He has several international and national research papers to his credit. Rich experience in Ethnopharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Trials. Till now 05 students have completed their M. Pharm. degree under his guidance. He has keen interest in medical education with an experience of teaching for more than 10 years. He has published many titles and also have 2 patents.
Dr. Ashish Srivastava is Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pranveer Singh Institute of technology, Pharmacy, Kanpur. Graduate aptitude test of Engineering fellowship was awarded to him in 2006. He has a fourteen-years teaching experience and research experience in various field. His field of research mainly includes synthesis of antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory compounds and bone targeting prodrugs. He has published a number of research paper in scientific journal. He has participated and delivered lectures at various National and International Symposia. He is also a member of several professional societies. Uptil now over fifteen students have completed their M. Pharm. degree under his guidance. He is the author of several stimulating books on organic and Medicinal chemistry.
Mrs. Priyanka Verma [M. Pharm, Pharmaceutics] is Currently Asst. Prof. in Department of Pharmaceutics, Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (Pharmacy), Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She has several international and national research papers to his credit. Rich experience in Ethosomes, NDDS. She has keen interest in medical education with an experience of teaching for more than 2 years. She has grant 2 patents in the area of Pharmacy.
