About Book
The titled book is “Textbook of Pathophysiology” (As per PCI regulation). The idea of book originated by authors to convey a combined database for easy understanding of Pathophysiology. This book is intended to communicate information on novel drug delivery techniques, to direct tutors and learners regarding fundamental concepts in Pathophysiology. The major aim to write this textbook is to provide information in articulate summarized manner to accomplish necessities of undergraduates as per PCI regulation. This volume is designed not only according to curriculum of undergraduate courses in pharmacy by PCI but also to communicate knowledge on Pathophysiology for learners. About Author
Dr. Thilagam Ellappan is currently a professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy at JKMMRF’s Annai JKK Sampoorani Ammal College of Pharmacy, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu. Her educational background includes a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, an M.Pharm from Kakatiya University in Warangal, and a B.Pharm from JKK Natarajah College of Pharmacy, Tamil Nadu. With over 25 years of academic and research experience, she has authored numerous research publications, holds patents and has presented her work at various scientific conferences. She also serves as a reviewer for reputable journals and has received awards such as the highly cited research paper award from Elsevier and the best poster award. She is an active life member of APTI (Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India). Her research interest encompass isolation and characterization of natural constituents, the development and standardization of herbal formulations, plant tissue culture techniques and pharmacological evaluation of natural products.
Dr. P. Sharmila Nirojini working as a Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy. With a robust professional tenure spanning 16 years, she has amassed comprehensive experience in teaching, research, and administration. She obtained her undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degrees from The Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai, India, and achieved her Ph.D. from Acharya Nagarjuna University in Andhra Pradesh. An accomplished researcher she has authored and published over 50 research and review papers in esteemed national and international journals. She has also presented her research at more than 10 national and international conferences, showcasing her expertise on a global stage. Notably, she holds a patent to her credit.
