About Author
Dr. Prasanna Habbu, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry is working with S.E.T’s college of Pharmacy, Dharwad, Karnataka. He has 30 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience. Dr. Habbu has published more than 100 research papers in various National and International Journals. To his credit he has 6 patent publications and 01 patent grant. He has guided more than 30 post graduates and 05 research scholars for their award of Ph.D. He has received financial grants from various funding agencies like AICTE, RGUHS, and VGST. His areas of expertise include: plant endophytes, novel drug delivery systems for phytoconstituents, phytopharmacology, phytopharmaceuticals and standardization of traditional formulations.
Dr. Smita D. Madagundi is working as Associate Professor in Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, S.E.T’s college of Pharmacy, Dharwad, Karnataka. She has 18 years of teaching and 11 years of research experience. She has published about 52 research and review articles in various National and International Journals. She has got 10 patent publications. She has guided more than 11 post graduates. Her areas of expertise include isolation, characterization and screening of various endophytes and their constituents for various pharmacological activities, standardization of herbal formulations.
Mrs. Vaishali Todkar is working as Associate Professor in Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Radhabai Shinde College of Pharmacy, Gadhinglaj, Maharashtra. She has 8 years of teaching and 3 years of research experience. She has published about 08 research and review articles in various National and International Journals. She is specialized in natural product research especially on endophytic fungi and their metabolites, Pharmacognostical evaluation of medicinal plants. She is also actively engaged in scientific writing and committed to advancing herbal drug research and pharmaceutical education.
