It emphasizes the biopsychosocial approach, where biological, psychological, and social factors collectively influence health outcomes. The course covers: • Fundamental concepts of psychology and behaviour • Human development and personality • Psychological responses to stress, illness, and coping • Mental health disorders relevant to healthcare • Core communication models and techniques • Professional communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams • Ethical and legal aspects such as confidentiality and consent • Patient counselling, empathy, and active listening • Role of communication in health promotion, adherence, and stigma reduction Aligned with NEP principles, the course adopts a skill-based, patient-centered, and interdisciplinary approach, preparing students to function effectively as healthcare professionals, communicators, and patient counsellors.

Dr. Anjali Dhananjay Trimukhe is a Pune-based medical professional and researcher, currently bridging the gap between healthcare and management through a PGP at IIM Mumbai. An MBBS graduate of BJGMC,she possesses robust clinical expertise in surgery and emergency care, developed during her residency at Sassoon General Hospital. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Anjali Trimukhe is a prolific academic contributor with six conference paper presentations and a published book on Emotional Quotient.Her commitment to public health is evidenced by her ICMR-approved maternal health research and her frontline volunteer work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Arun Kumar Bishoyi, serving as an assistant professor in the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (H.N.B Garhwal University, Uttarakhand), has been involved in teaching and research for more than 20 years. He has several research publications to his credit. He has actively participated in various national and international seminars/conferences. He is also a member of many professional societies. Vidhupriya K K is an accomplished academic and rehabilitation professional specializing in Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Assistive Technology. With extensive experience in enhancing mobility and independence for individuals with disabilities, she combines technical expertise with compassionate patient-centered care. She holds a Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics from the Indian Spinal Injury Centre, New Delhi, and a Master of Special Education in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She also earned a B.Ed. in Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the National Institute for Locomotor Disability, Kolkata. Currently, she serves as Associate Professor (P&O) at National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is proficient in Malayalam, English, Hindi, and Bengali, reflecting her strong communication and interdisciplinary skills. Dr. Doppalapudi Niveditha is a Pharm.D graduate and academician with clinical training and experience in hospital pharmacy services. She completed her internship at Manipal Hospitals, where she was actively involved in patient counseling, medication review, prescription auditing, ward rounds, drug information services, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and pharmacovigilance. She is GCP certified and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at St. Mary's College of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include clinical pharmacy, patient safety, pharmacovigilance, healthcare education, and research, underscoring her commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing quality healthcare delivery. Mrs. Ritu Rani Yadav is working as Assistant Professor in PSIT-Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (Pharmacy) Kanpur. She has done her B.Pharm & M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow in 2009. She has more than 15 years of experience in teaching and research of undergraduate and post graduate students. She has attended several national and international conferences in India. She has also published various review & research articles in national & International Journals. She has several National & International patents also. She is actively involved in various academic activities.
