Hailing from the vibrant city of Jabalpur, I pursued my degree in Mechanical Engineering at Jabalpur Engineering College. Life was carefree and uncomplicated during my college days in Jabalpur—filled with the joy of friends, studies, and a world of possibilities ahead. Back then, stress was just an occasional worry before exams, nothing like the relentless pressure that came with adult life in a bustling metro city. Graduating in 2008, I started my career at Delhi in one of the leading companies in India in energy sector. For the past 16 years, I’ve been navigating the challenges of the corporate world, transitioning from the calm rhythms of my hometown to the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of a metro city. What I didn’t anticipate was how this change would affect not only my mental health but also my physical well-being. The relentless demands of corporate life, coupled with the constant pressure to stay “productive,” soon began to take their toll. It wasn't just the anxiety and overthinking that were weighing me down. As the stress piled on, it started manifesting physically. I found myself struggling with lifestyle issues like weight gain, chronic fatigue, and digestive problems that seemed to have no clear cause. My energy levels plummeted, and I felt constantly on edge. The more I tried to keep up with work demands and societal expectations, the worse my health became. The connection between my mental and physical health was undeniable, yet it took me years to fully recognize it.
