About Author
Dr. Arti Chauhan is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Botany at Government P.G. College, Ranikhet. She completed her graduation and postgraduation in Botany from Bareilly College, Bareilly (U.P.), and earned a B.Ed. degree from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University. Motivated by her environmental interests, she also pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management.
Dr. Chauhan has also qualified for several prestigious national-level examinations, including the ARS NET in Plant Physiology (2015), U-SET (2015), and CSIR-NET in Life Sciences (2018). She was awarded her Ph.D. in 2024, with specialization in Ethnobotany and Bioinformatics.
With approximately seven years of teaching experience in higher education, Dr. Chauhan is dedicated to academic excellence and believes in an education system that nurtures students into socially responsible and knowledgeable individuals. Her teaching approach emphasizes the application of knowledge, encouraging students to link theoretical understanding with practical relevance.
Her academic contributions include five book chapters, one review paper, and two research papers, along with the authorship of a Self-Learning Material (SLM) unit in Botany for Uttarakhand Open University (UOU).
In addition to her teaching and research roles, Dr. Chauhan is actively involved in various academic and institutional initiatives, contributing meaningfully to the overall development of students and the academic community.
