About Book
The titled book is “Textbook of PHARMACOGNOSY AND PHYTOCHEMISTRY-II” (As per PCI regulation). The idea of book originated by authors to convey a combined database for easy understanding of PHARMACOGNOSY AND PHYTOCHEMISTRY-II. The major aim to write this textbook is to provide information in articulate summarized manner to accomplish necessities of undergraduates as per PCI regulation. This volume is designed not only according to curriculum of undergraduate courses in pharmacy by PCI but also to communicate knowledge on Pharmacognosy and phytochemistry for post graduate learners. We assured this book will be originated very valuable by graduates, post graduates, professors and industrial learners.
About Author
Dr. Sarvesh Suyal did his Ph. D. in Botany in 2011 from main University campus of HNB Garhwal University Srinagar Garhwal Uttarakhand. He has teaching experience in various universities viz. HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, Vanasthali University, Rajasthan and IFTM University, Moradabad, U.P. He joined botany department of prestigious DBS (PG) College, Dehradun in 2020 as an Assistant professor. He has twelve years of teaching experience of undergraduate and postgraduate classes. Dr Suyal has published more than 50 research papers in various reputed national and international journals.He has granted 3 Indians and 1 UK Patent. Two Ph D students and Thirty five M.Sc. Botany students have been completed their Ph.D. and dissertation under his supervision respectively. He is associated with many national and international scientific bodies as life time member. In addition, he is active reviewer of various national and international research journals. He has been nominated as Fellow of Linnean Society (FLS) London in 2025.

Dr. Barkha Kamal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, D.B.S. (P.G.) College, Dehradun. She has Doctorate in Plant Tissue Culture from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. She has more than 19 years of teaching and research experience. She has published more than 20 research papers in reputed National and International Journals, published book chapters and Genebank & Germplasm submissions. She has attended and presented research papers in national and international conferences and seminar. She has supervised more than 30 students for Dessertation.
Dr. Pratibha Baluni completed her Ph.D. in Botany in 2016 from H.N.B. Garhwal University (A Central University), Uttarakhand. She has over 10 years of teaching and research experience and currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Government Degree College Dehradun Shahar. Dr. Pratibha is a member of various scientific societies and NGOs. She has published 25 research papers in national and international journals, and two Ph.D. scholars have completed their degrees under her supervision. She has also authored a laboratory course book for Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani.
Ms. Garima Chauhan has completed M.Sc. Botany in 2022. She has qualified UGC CSIR NET (LS) three times in June 2023, December 2023, June 2024 and UGC CSIR NET (JRF) in December 2024. Currently she is working as Assistant Professors in Department of Botany DBS (PG) College Dehradun Uttarakhand.
