About author : ABOUT THE AUTHORS Dr. Runjhun Pallavi, PhD, is an esteemed Associate Professor at SGT College of Pharmacy SGT University Gurugram, India, over 20 years of distinguished experience in teaching and research at different institutes in India. She did her M Pharm (Pharm. Biotechnology) and PhD from Birla Institute of Technology (Mesra) Ranchi. She has worked on more than 30 species of fungi in extraction of Glucose Oxidase enzymes. Later she worked on the Method development and validation of active constituents of polyherbal drugs using modern techniques of HPLC, HPTLC, FTIR, UV-VIS Spectroscopy. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to academic excellence at various prestigious institutes across India. Dr. Pallavi's expertise and passion for her field have taken her around the globe, with visits to more than 15 countries, where she has engaged in academic collaborations, conferences, and research initiatives. Her international experiences have enriched her teaching methodologies and broadened her research perspectives, making her a valuable asset to the academic community. She has many patents and numerous paper published in national and international journals. She is a registered Pharmacist and a life member of APTI and IPA. Mr. Samar Ghosh, M. Pharm is an accomplished professional in the field of pharmacy, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology & Allied Health Sciences. Banitabla, Uluberia, Howrah,711316. He has published several research papers in Refereed International Journals. His extensive academic and research background and practical experience make him a valuable contributor to the field of pharmaceutical science. He has earned Masters of Pharmacy with a specialization in Pharmacognosy from the prestigious University of North Bengal in Siliguri, West Bengal. About book : The book is titled A Textbook of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry-I in accordance with PCI requirements. The authors developed the idea for the book as a way to clearly describe a combined database for Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry-I. In addition to educating readers on cutting-edge drug delivery techniques, this book also serves as a resource for professors and students who are trying to understand the fundamental concepts taught in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry-I. This textbook's primary objective was to offer information in a clear, condensed manner to meet the needs of undergraduate students in compliance with PCI guidelines. This book was written to correspond to the PCI curriculum for undergraduate pharmacy courses as well as provide knowledge about Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry-I to postgraduate students. We promise that this book will be very helpful to graduates, postgraduates, teachers, and industry learners.
