Dr. Sujatha Palatheeya completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kakatiya University, Hanamkonda, in 2001, and her Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the same institution in 2005. She was subsequently awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences by Kakatiya University. She has over 19 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, serving in various government and private institutions. Recently, she was relieved from her position as Principal of the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar. At present, she is serving in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Krishna University, Machilipatnam, where she also holds the position of Chairman, Board of Studies (BOS) in Pharmacy. Dr. Palatheeya has delivered numerous guest lectures and has served as a resource person in several workshops and seminars organized by various universities. She has successfully guided 34 postgraduate students and four Ph.D. scholars, with five Ph.D. scholars currently pursuing research under her supervision. She has published more than 40 research papers in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals with notable impact factors. Her research interests include phytochemistry and pharmacological screening for various biological activities.
Mrs. Poonam Kuntal is currently working as an Assistant Professor at K.M. University, Mathura, in the Faculty of Pharmacy. She has four years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in pharmacy. Her academic and research contributions include three publications in Scopus-indexed journals and one granted patent to her credit.
Dr. Biswajit Dash is a Senior Associate Professor at the Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Kolkata, West Bengal. He brings over 15 years of teaching experience in core pharmaceutical subjects, including Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. His research interests are focused on synthetic medicinal chemistry, particularly the design and development of novel heterocyclic compounds with pharmacological activity, as well as the isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds from natural sources. In recognition of his research contributions, he was awarded an AICTE–Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) project in 2013 with a funding outlay of ₹24 lakhs. In addition, he has received two institutional seed grants of ₹50,000 each. Dr. Dash has a strong publication record, having authored 45 research and review articles in reputed international journals. He has also contributed eight book chapters and authored or edited nine books published by various national and international publishing houses. His innovative research output is further reflected in the grant of 12 international patents, including patents from the United States, Australia, Germany, South Africa, and India. He has actively participated in the academic and research community by attending more than 50 workshops, seminars, and conferences, where he has also presented his research findings.
Mr. Sachin Kumar Sharma is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, Punjab. He possesses over 13 years of combined academic and research experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. He holds a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), and a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Sharma has published several research and review articles in reputed national and international journals and has contributed chapters to recognized academic books. He has successfully guided numerous M.Pharm and B.Pharm students in their research projects, many of which have resulted in publications and notable academic outcomes. Mr. Sharma actively participates in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development. His research interests encompass drug design, synthesis of bioactive compounds, molecular docking studies, and pharmaceutical analysis. He is deeply committed to promoting innovation, academic excellence, and quality research in pharmaceutical education.
Dr. C. Balalakshmi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nanoscience and Technology, Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu, India. She has over eight years of enriched teaching experience at the postgraduate level. Her primary areas of research include Nano Marine Biology, Bio-nanomaterials, Nano Green Biology, Nano Medical Biotechnology, and nano-based anti-coating applications for food packaging. Dr. Balalakshmi has successfully completed several research projects funded under the RUSA 2.0 Theme-Based Research Project Grant Allocation scheme. She has more than 20 publications to her credit in reputed peer-reviewed and indexed journals. In recognition of her academic and research expertise, she has been approved as a research guide for M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars. She is also actively involved in academic publishing and professional bodies. Dr. Balalakshmi serves as an Editorial Board Member of Innovative Scientific Research Professional, Malaysia, and as an Editor Member of the Global Management Council – Glacier Journal Research Foundation, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She is a Life Member of the Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata, and holds memberships in Asia’s Who’s Who, Asian Biographies, and Rifacimento International, New Delhi. The UGC Start-Up Grant (Ref. No. F.30-381/2017) and the RUSA Phase 2.0 Grant (No. F.24.51/2014-U Policy, TN Multi-Gen) have provided significant support and assistance in the preparation of this book. Hence, due acknowledgment of RUSA 2.0 has been included in this publication.
