About Author
Dr. Karna B. Khavane completed his graduation from Smt. S.S. Patil College of Pharmacy, Chopda, Dist. Jalgaon, and obtained his M. Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy Practice from the School of Pharmacy and Technology Management, NMIMS University, Mumbai. He was awarded a Ph.D. by JNU, Jodhpur, for his research titled “Study and Evaluation of Medication Errors in a Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital.”
With over 16 years of teaching experience, Dr. Khavane is presently serving as a Professor at Dr. Vedprakash Patil Pharmacy College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He has mentored several postgraduate students, including those pursuing M. Pharmacy (Pharmacy Practice) and Pharm.D., guiding them in both academic and research domains.
Dr. Khavane has published more than 35 research papers in esteemed national and international journals. He also serves as a Section Editor for various scientific journals and has actively participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and Quality Improvement Programs (QIPs).
In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the 1st Prize in the Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy division for his poster presentation titled “Mandatory Use of Collapsible Bags Instead of Conventional PVC Bottles in Critical Care Patients: A New Perspective” at the 60th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) held on 13th December 2008 in New Delhi.
Dr. Vidya Magar is an Associate Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Srinath College of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, India. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharmacy) degrees from NDMVP College of Pharmacy, Nashik. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU), Nanded. With over 12 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Vidya K. Magar has made significant contributions to the field of pharmacy through her extensive research and publications. Over the years, she has authored and co-authored more than 20 research and review articles in reputable journals. Her research interests include synthesis, green chemistry, method validation and computer-aided drug design (CADD). Additionally, she has been granted an Indian patent for her work on silver nanoparticles.
