About Book

The primary objective of this book is to provide pharmacy students with a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of inorganic chemistry and analytical techniques and their applications in pharmaceutical sciences. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical relevance, the book helps students appreciate the importance of chemical analysis and inorganic pharmaceuticals in healthcare and drug development. The contents of the book are systematically organized into five comprehensive units. The initial unit introduces the fundamentals of pharmaceutical analysis, including sources of impurities in pharmaceuticals and the regulatory aspects associated with drug quality control. This section highlights the importance of maintaining purity, safety, and compliance with pharmaceutical standards. The subsequent chapters focus on acid–base chemistry, buffer systems, and electrolyte balance, explaining their physiological importance as well as their roles in pharmaceutical formulations and therapeutic practices. Further, the book provides detailed explanations of analytical techniques such as titrimetric and gravimetric analysis. Methods including acid–base titrations, redox titrations, precipitation titrations, complexometric titrations, and non-aqueous titrations are discussed with relevant pharmaceutical applications. Overall, the book integrates concepts from chemistry, medicine, and regulatory science to promote multidisciplinary understanding. Problem-solving exercises and application-based discussions are included to encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and practical learning among students.
