About Author
Dr. Sanmati Kumar Jain is a distinguished academician in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry,
currently serving as a Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, Guru Ghasidas
Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, India. With an extensive teaching career of
over 23 years, he has played a pivotal role in shaping pharmaceutical education at both
undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Jain’s academic contributions are wide-ranging,
marked by excellence in teaching, mentorship, and research. He has authored or co-authored
more than 80 research papers published in reputed national and international journals,
reflecting a strong commitment to advancing the scientific community's understanding in areas
such as Drug Design, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Medicinal Chemistry. As a dedicated
research guide, he has supervised 30 M. Pharm students and has mentored several Ph.D.
scholars, with three awarded, four currently registered, and one mentored externally. His
guidance has consistently encouraged innovation and scientific inquiry among young
researchers. Dr. Jain’s contributions extend beyond academics into scientific innovation, with a
portfolio of 40 patents—29 granted and 11 published. In addition, he has authored three books
and contributed to 32 book chapters, cementing his role as a prolific academic contributor and
thought leader in pharmacy education. He has also undertaken a sponsored research project
