The course BP 703T is designed to equip pharmacy students with the essential knowledge and skills required for effective professional practice in hospital, community, and clinical settings.
This book has been prepared in accordance with the PCI-prescribed syllabus and aims to present the subject matter in a systematic, simple, and application-oriented manner. Emphasis has been laid on key areas such as drug store management, investigational use of drugs, interpretation of clinical laboratory tests, patient care services, and professional responsibilities of pharmacists. Each topic has been explained with clarity to help students understand both the theoretical concepts and their practical relevance in real-world healthcare scenarios.
The content is structured to meet the academic needs of B.Pharm VII Semester students, while also serving as a useful reference for pharmacy educators and practitioners. Efforts have been made to use clear language, logical flow, and exam-oriented presentation to facilitate easy comprehension and effective learning.

Professor (Dr.) Manish Dubey is an accomplished academician with M. Pharm. and Ph.D. degrees. He is currently serving as Professor and Dean, Department of Pharmacy, Vananchal College of Science, a constituent unit of Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa, Jharkhand. He has more than 16 years of teaching experience in pharmaceutical education. Dr. Dubey has published 13 research papers in reputed National and International journals and has 09 patents granted or published to his credit. He is an active member of several scientific and professional associations. His academic expertise and teaching experience make him deeply committed to improving pharmacy education and student learning outcomes.

Mr. Akshit Naveria is a Pharmacologist (M.Pharm, ADCR) with a decade of experience in academia and research. He is currently associated with Babu Dinesh Singh University’s Vananchal College of Science (Department of Pharmacy) in Garhwa, Jharkhand. A dedicated researcher, Mr. Naveria holds a patent and has authored 9 research publications.
