About Book
Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry and Analysis forms one of the fundamental pillars of pharmaceutical education, providing students with a sound understanding of inorganic medicinal agents, pharmaceutical standards, analytical techniques, and quality assurance practices that are indispensable in the development, manufacturing, and safe use of medicines. The revised Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) syllabus under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes competency-based learning, practical skill development, and the integration of scientific knowledge with professional pharmacy practice. This textbook has been carefully prepared to meet these curricular requirements while addressing the evolving needs of undergraduate pharmacy students. The book systematically covers the essential topics prescribed in the latest PCI curriculum, including impurities in pharmaceutical substances, pharmacopoeial standards, limit tests, acid–base chemistry, buffer systems, major electrolytes, essential and trace elements, gastrointestinal and topical agents, dental products, respiratory agents, antidotes, pharmaceutical aids, and the principles of pharmaceutical inorganic analysis. Each chapter has been written in a clear, concise, and student-friendly manner, supported by well-organized tables, illustrations, reaction schemes, and pharmaceutical applications to facilitate conceptual understanding and effective learning.
