About Author

Dr. Sanjit Debnath is a passionate academician, researcher, and educator from Tripura, Northeast India, dedicated to advancing biological sciences, environmental sustainability, and interdisciplinary education. He earned his Ph.D. from Tripura University under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Krishna Saha, Department of Botany. With over six years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Debnath has actively contributed to higher education at both college and university levels. He has served as a Guest Lecturer at several reputed institutions, including Dasaratha Deb Memorial College (Khowai), Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya (Udaipur), Swami Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya (Mohanpur), and MBB College. He is currently associated with Techno College of Engineering Agartala, and Rabindranath Thakur Mahavidyalaya (RTM), Bishalgarh, where he is engaged in teaching, academic mentoring, and student development. In recognition of his research excellence and innovative contributions, Dr. Debnath received the prestigious SITARE–GYTI 2020 Appreciation Award on November 5, 2020, presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister of India, Dr. Harsh Vardhan. This honor reflects his commitment to scientific research and technological advancement. Dr. Debnath has authored 37 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, many indexed in UGC, Web of Science, SCI, and Scopus databases with significant impact factors. He has also contributed scholarly book chapters and authored a Book in the field of environmental science, further strengthening his academic profile. His research interests include: Mycology and Plant Pathology, Mushroom Biology and Mycorrhizae, Fungal Endophytes , Microbiology, Environmental Science and Pollution, Sustainability and Biodiversity. Beyond research, Dr. Debnath is deeply committed to simplifying complex biological concepts for engineering students. His teaching philosophy focuses on connecting theoretical knowledge with practical applications, helping learners understand the role of biology in solving real-world engineering challenges.
