About Book

Some stories are written with ink. This one is written with tears. Where Three Hearts Once Lived is not just a story about love between a husband and wife. It is about the kind of love that quietly becomes the foundation of an entire life. It is about parents who sacrifice without expecting anything in return, children who become the reason their parents smile every day, and families that believe happiness will last forever—until one unexpected moment changes everything. True love does not understand distance, time, or even death. It does not belong to the body. It belongs to the soul. A soul remembers long after words have faded, long after a house becomes silent, and long after the people we love are no longer beside us. Rakesh and Pooja build an ordinary life together. They dream, laugh, struggle, become parents, and find happiness in the smallest moments. Their world is not extraordinary because of wealth or success—it is extraordinary because of the love they share. Krutika completes that world, turning a house into a home filled with laughter. Then tragedy arrives without warning. Some losses cannot be measured. Some wounds never truly heal. They simply become a part of the person who survives. Pooja's journey is not about forgetting. It is about learning to breathe while carrying memories that refuse to leave. She continues living not because the pain disappears, but because love asks her to. She carries the memories of her husband and daughter in every sunrise, every festival, every empty chair, and every quiet night. She lives for the people who still need her, even when her own heart longs for the life she once had. I have always believed that the greatest tragedy is not death itself. It is the silence that follows—the empty spaces where laughter once echoed, the unanswered conversations, the habits that remain, and the memories that visit without warning. Those are the moments that truly test the human spirit. If this book reminds you of someone you love, hold them a little closer. Tell them what they mean to you while you still can. Life changes in ways none of us can predict, but love has a remarkable way of surviving every storm. This novel is my humble tribute to every parent who sacrifices quietly, every soldier who serves while carrying the weight of separation, every family that stands together through difficult times, and every person who continues living despite carrying an unbearable loss. May we never take our loved ones for granted. May we always remember that the greatest wealth we will ever possess is the people who walk beside us. And may the stories of love, sacrifice, and resilience never be forgotten. Thank you for walking this journey with me. With gratitude, Nilesh

About Author

Nilesh Gaikwad is an engineer by trade and works in the IT sector. Apart from his career, he has always derived a sense of comfort from telling stories, and through writing he is able to record the emotions, relationships, and moments which are frequently left unsaid in everyday life. This is the second book that he has written; he aims, through his writings, to tell stories about love, family, sacrifice, hope, and the strength needed in order to keep going forward even if life takes unexpected turns, stories which will remain with readers long after they have turned the last page. When he is not at work or engaged in writing, Nilesh likes to listen to music, visit new places, and spend high-quality time with his family and friends. Nilesh thinks that it is often the simplest moments in life which become the most significant memories, a belief which is shown in all of his stories. He wishes that the novel serves as a single gentle reminder to people to value the ones they love, since the memories you make with them are the greatest treasure you have throughout your life.
