This book is comprised of eleven chapters encompassing a broad area of environmental practices and policies, a few natural resources and biodiversity, human communities and their practices etc. This book has been written in a simple diction considering the readership of the common people and students. The book can be beneficial for the common people as well as students and researchers owing to its present-day relevance, socio - economic benefits and pressing issues related to environment. About Author
Dr. Pankaj Kalita: Dr. Pankaj Kalita is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at Eastern Karbi Anglong College (under Assam University), Sarihajan, Karbi Anglong, Assam, India. Before joining in this organization he rendered his service at PG Department of Biophysics, Pub Kamrup College (under Gauhati University), Baihata Chariali, Kamrup, Assam, India. He has research interests in the field of Neurobiology, Computational Biology and nanobiotechnology. He has published more than 20 research papers, more than 12 book chapters in different eminent publishing house like RSC, Elsevier, Springer, Science Direct etc. He has already edited four research books, organized two national seminars. He is exclusively keen in socio-economic sustainability development through his research and awareness programmes.
Dr. Himani Medhi: Dr. Himani Medhi, HOD & Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Eastern Karbi Anglong College, has research interests in waste-water treatment, analytical chemistry, nanoscience and authored several research articles and book-chapters with Wiley, Elsevier and ACS.
Mr. Utpal Dev Sarma: Mr. Utpal Dev Sarma, Assistant Professor, department of English at Eastern Karbi Anglong College, Sarihajan, has 23 years of experience of teaching English language, grammar and literature to undergraduate students besides having a flair for teaching environmental issues to students.
