About Book
For decades, corneal cross-linking has successfully stabilized keratoconus, but the next frontier of ocular structural stability lies deeper. As diseases linked with scleral biomechanical properties are surging worldwide, the need for a therapy to strengthen the scleral biomechanism has become the 'need of the hour'—offering a potential end to the relentless scleral thinning & axial elongation that leads to myopia, staphyloma and glaucoma optic disc changes. Scleral collagen cross-linking offers a radical shift: a fundamental intervention that reshapes the eyeball’s destiny by targeting the very pathogenesis of progressive visual loss.
