About author : Dr. Sanmati Kumar Jain is a distinguished Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the Department of Pharmacy at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University) Bilaspur, India. He has to his credit twenty-three years of teaching experience in PG/UG levels. He has published more than eighty research papers in National and International Scientific Journals and guided 30 M. Pharm. and several Ph.D. students (Awarded-03, Registered-04, Mentor-01). He has to his credit one research project (AICTE-RPS), one book, 32 book chapters and 25 patents (Granted-18, Published-07). His research interests are mainly in areas of Drug Design, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Medicinal Chemistry. Mr. Rakshit Choksi did Master of Pharmacy in pharmaceutical Chemistry from J.S.S College of Pharmacy, Ooty. He has 19 years of rich experience in the various fields of pharmaceuticals like Quality control, Quality assurance, Production, and Formulation Research and Development from various pharmaceutical companies like Comed Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd., BDR Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., etc. Currently, he runs a technical consulting firm and provides technical consultancy to many pharmaceutical companies for formulation development and analytical method development.  He has expertise in new product development. He had the credit of many new product developments from his previous assignments, in which many formulations were launched as the first generic formulations in India after innovators. He was a team lead for more than 5 formulation patents from his previous assignment.
